Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes crystals to finely resurface superficial layers of the skin, exfoliating the dead outer layers of the skin while stimulating new collagen formation in the deeper dermal layers. Microdermabrasion can be used on any skin type and is typically used to treat the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne prone skin, mild acne scarring, pigmentation problems, uneven skin tones, and dull, lifeless and/or sun damaged skin. You will notice smoother, softer skin, more even skin after just one treatment, and a dramatic difference after a series of regular treatments.

In addition to the two microdermabrasion based treatments offered in our day spa in San Francisco (below), you can add microdermabrasion to many of our facials. If you are unsure of whether microdermabrasion is for you, you might want to book a TruO2 or Pure facial and your aesthetician can add on microdermabrasion if it is appropriate.
